Overview

Used solar pump kits usually contain the same Grade (A, B or C) from these three groups below. Photos are not exact units sold, just for reference. Accessories are usually still factory sealed. Warranties 1-2 years depending on grade.

Solar Panels - All solar panels included in kits have been fully tested to voltage and current and vary mostly in appearance, not performance. Glass unbroken. Currently we are shipping this panel for systems with 8P (8 Panel) Mounts and this SLIM Panel for all others. If you’d prefer one model over the other, please give us a call at 888-637-4493 and we can make sure you get the panels you’d like as part of your order!

A Grade - Usually solar panels have just been on a rough journey with UPS or on a pallet that a freight company returned. Corners of aluminum frame are likely bent or scratched. 2 year warranty.

B Grade - Rougher journeys with UPS or installed and then removed. Corners or aluminum frame are bent, scratched or drilled for mounting holes. Panels are wiped down usually but may be dusty. 2 year warranty.

C Grade - Pretty beat up but totally functional. Aluminum frames beat up, drilled, and overall dirty and dusty but repackaged inhouse to ensure arriving functional. 1 year warranty.

RPS Pump Controllers - Functioning up to spec electronically. Aesthetics are mixed. Fully tested and working. Waterproof gasket working or replaced. 

A Grade - Used but newer looking but with scratches and opened wire glands usually. Often were onsite or show demos or lightly run models. 2 year warranty.

B Grade - Decent looking. Used but not overly damaged by sun or scratching. May have mounting holes. 2 year warranty.

C Grade - Controller shows significant weathering, sun damage, scratches, paint or sticker damage. 1 year warranty.

RPS Pumps - All pumps will have been cleaned in fresh water, dried, wires labeled. Includes butt crimps/ underwater splice kit. Helical pumps will have newly replaced pumping mechanisms. All pumps pass head/volume test to ensure motor, bearing and pump are working. 

A Grade - Often onsite or show demos or previously water tested pumps. Pumps will likely have scratches in stainless, wear to filter screen, but little other noticeable imperfections 2 year warranty.

B Grade - Decent in appearance but noticeably previously installed. Scratches and wear apparent. 2 year warranty.

C Grade - Pumps are rougher looking, heavily scratched but functional, working threads, signs of water submersion/iron. 1 year warranty.
